Located in the heart of downtown Denver and situated at 1000 Broadway, The Sports Castle is a 35,000-square-foot, four-story building. Originally constructed in 1926 as the Cullen-Thompson Motor Company Building to serve as a Chrysler showroom, its purpose shifted in 1971 when sporting goods pioneer Jerry Gart, associated with Gart Brothers, later Gart Sports, and ultimately Sports Authority, acquired the building. The Sports Castle will take on another life as a one-of-a-kind event venue.
